Trattoria Primaro

We hadn't stopped in Primaro for years. The environment is always the same, essentially rustic, suited to what a place that smells of a river and a valley represents. For some, the fried smell that you perceive as soon as you enter is the smell of home, for others it should be moderated. The tables for four are not very comfortable, I would say too small. The management is no longer what it has been in some years, but the menu has practically never changed. Marinated, spaghetti with clams, risotto and above all well cooked eel accompanied by forest red. Marinated to start with, but not for those who don't appreciate the kick of vinegar too much. Spaghetti with slightly tasty clams and bottarga, the eel which was our favorite was perfect. Adequate price. The eel was in two pieces weighing more than a kilo. You can return to try other dishes, the first courses and perhaps the meat.

We came across it after a bike ride, as there is a picnic area behind the restaurant. Obviously being a restaurant, they give priority to their customers. So to have a coffee or water, it's better to wait until the end of lunch. From the good smell of grilled fish I imagine it is also good. Obviously we don't talk about sandwiches and desserts, but I already knew because I had called the lady to ask for information. A suggestion I would give, also do it, only by reservation sandwiches and desserts, which can be prepared in advance. With a group of 30 people it could be a good rounding. But it was already a long time ago if we had some coffee and a bottle of water, almost annoyed at having disturbed them. And honestly, if I have to go back for lunch, I will opt for other, more welcoming restaurants.

If you come here you can't help but eat eel. Having been informed that I had celiac disease, they cooked the eel separately and not on the common plate so as not to contaminate it. As an appetizer I chose raw sardines, divine! Very generous portions, excellent house wine. They accept dogs only if they don't bother you (rightly so). After lunch we took a walk and managed to see the flamingos.
